ABOUT THE ARTISANS
These baskets are hand woven by indigenous female artisans in Oaxaca, Mexico, using techniques passed down from generation to generation. In the tiny village of San Luis Amatl√°n, these women gather palm leaves and then meticulously strip them and dye them before weaving them into beautiful, practical baskets with astonishing speed and precision. Each large basket takes up to three days to complete.
